Privacy Policy

SteadyBeast ("we", "us") is operated by Vibe Code Beast Inc. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else handles it, and the control you keep. The short version: your data exists to power your own coaching, we don't sell it, nothing goes to the AI without your permission, and you can export or permanently delete all of it at any time, in the app.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a hashed password (we can never see the password itself).
- What you log: the entries you choose to record: substance use (such as nicotine, cannabis, alcohol, caffeine), meals, exercise, mood, sleep, notes, and protocol progress. This is sensitive data, and logging any of it is always your choice.
- Optional profile details: name, identity line, and optional body information (age, weight, height, gender in your own words) if you provide them.
- Conversations with Steady: the messages you send and the replies, kept so your coach has continuity. Steady also keeps short notes about what it has learned from you ("What Steady remembers"). You can read and delete each one in the app.
- Truth Scan: a photo you take or choose is analyzed to produce your receipt. We do not store the photo. We keep the text receipt.
- Apple Health, only if you connect it: last night's sleep duration. See Apple Health below.
- Subscription status: which plan you have, whether it is in a trial, and when it renews or ends. Apple handles the payment. We never see or store your card details.
- Notifications: if you allow them, a device token so we can send them, and your time zone so they arrive at the right hour.
- App activity: a short list of events tied to your account, such as opening the app, finishing onboarding, viewing the subscription screen, or opening a notification. We record these ourselves to understand whether the app is working. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes, a report with the device model, iOS version, app version and the error. It does not include what you log or what you say to Steady.
- Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and reliability.
- Website: if you join the waitlist on steadybeast.ai, your email address.
How we use it
- To run the product: your Stability Score, timeline, protocol, and notifications are computed from your own entries on our servers.
- To coach you: with your permission, your data is sent to our AI provider to write Steady's replies and Truth Scan receipts. See the next section.
- To manage your subscription, send account emails such as password-reset codes, and keep the service safe and reliable.
What we never do: we do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use your wellness data for ad targeting. Ever.
AI processing, and your permission
Steady and Truth Scan are powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. The app asks for your permission before any of your data is sent to Anthropic, and nothing is sent until you say yes.
When AI processing is on, we send Anthropic what is needed to answer you:
- what you tell Steady, and the recent conversation;
- your logs, Stability Score, protocol, profile details and what Steady remembers about you, so the reply fits your day;
- sleep you imported from Apple Health, as part of your logs;
- photos you scan with Truth Scan.
We do not send your email address or password. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf to generate the reply. Under Anthropic's commercial terms it is not used to train AI models. Anthropic deletes it within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policies or to comply with the law.
Turning it off. You can withdraw permission at any time in the app: You → Privacy & safety → AI processing. From that moment nothing more is sent to Anthropic. Steady and Truth Scan stop working until you turn it back on. Logging, your score, your timeline and your protocol keep working.
Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional and starts only when you tap "Connect Apple Health". We read one thing: your sleep. We use it to add last night's sleep to your log so your score reflects it without you typing it in. We never write to Apple Health. Sleep imported from Apple Health is treated like any other log entry: it is stored with your account, it is included in AI processing only if you have turned that on, and it is never used for advertising, marketing, or sold to anyone. You can disconnect at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices → SteadyBeast.
Who handles your data
We use a small set of providers to run SteadyBeast. Each receives only what it needs to do its job for us, and none may use your data for its own advertising or sell it:
- Anthropic: AI processing for Steady and Truth Scan, with your permission (above).
- Railway: hosts our application and database.
- Apple: processes subscription payments and delivers notifications.
- RevenueCat: tells us your subscription status. It receives an account identifier and your purchase history for SteadyBeast, not your logs or conversations.
- Expo: relays notifications to Apple. It receives your device token and the text of the notification.
- Sentry: receives crash reports.
- Resend: delivers account emails, such as password-reset codes.
- Cloudflare: hosts steadybeast.ai and the waitlist.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Your controls
- AI processing: turn it on or off in You → Privacy & safety.
- Export: You → Export your data gives you a file with everything on your account: logs, conversations, scan receipts, what Steady remembers, and your profile.
- Delete: You → Delete account & all data permanently deletes your account and everything associated with it. This is immediate and irreversible.
- Forget: delete any single thing Steady remembers, any log entry, or any conversation.
- Correct: edit your profile details at any time.
- Notifications and Apple Health: switch either off in the iOS Settings app.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our production database immediately, and from routine backups as they expire. Data sent to Anthropic for processing is deleted on Anthropic's schedule described above. Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase records as their own policies and the law require.
Where your data is processed
SteadyBeast is operated from the United States, and your data is stored and processed there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. The controls above do all of these in the app. You can also email us and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context advertising, and we will never treat you differently for using these rights.
Age
SteadyBeast is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Not medical care
SteadyBeast is a coaching and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app before they take effect. If we ever change who receives your data for AI processing, the app will ask for your permission again.
